IT Service Desk

The Digitalization Department is now seeking an IT Technician for the IT Service Desk unit.

The unit provides IT support to all of the region's operations, both through digital channels and on-site.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of IT Technician in our service desk, you will be part of a closely-knit team of 12 people whose main task is to provide first-class support to Region Gotland's employees and manage incoming IT cases of various types and complexities. You will also conduct troubleshooting, administration, and support in various operational systems and environments, primarily in a Windows environment.

We work with different contact channels where you will provide support to users via phone, chat, email, and directly through the case management system. This also includes administration and documentation responsibilities. In the service desk, we strive to be the only contact the user needs to reach out to. As an employee with us, you will actively work with alarms and monitoring of the infrastructure to provide assistance as quickly as possible. You will also be involved in several projects and improvement initiatives, as well as managing and building contacts and relationships both internally within the organization and externally.

Who Are You?

You have a high school education and fluent skills in both Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have a related technical or IT education as well as ITIL v4 certification or equivalent. If you have previously worked with ITIL processes or held leadership roles in ITIL-based operations, we see that as a significant plus. Work experience in the service desk area is also considered an advantage.

We see that you have a high understanding of technology combined with good IT skills. A service-oriented mindset is an obvious part of your working style, and you thrive in an environment where you can help users and solve problems.

About the Regional Executive Administration

As part of Region Gotland, the Regional Executive Administration is responsible for corporate governance, strategic planning, and case preparation. We also work with regional development and cultural and recreational activities. We serve as internal support to the region's other administrations. Together, we care about quality and efficiency for those we exist for. Through our responsibility for emergency services in Gotland, we are also an important part of citizens' safety and security.
