Operations Technician for Green Valleys

With the goal - We develop world-class skills for a sustainable future and a good life, the Nature Management Administration drives education within youth high school, adapted high school, adult education, and vocational higher education. The Nature Schools Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront in the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

The Nature Management Administration's competence center is now looking for an operations technician for the Green Valleys project at the Nature School Sötåsen in Töreboda.

About us

The Nature Management Administration conducts several exciting development projects together with researchers and external actors, where our students get to participate in cutting-edge innovation. Within the Green Valleys project, we are developing a platform for green biorefining focusing on the production of energy products and protein feed, as well as the operation of a biochar facility and a biogas plant. The focus this year will primarily include the production and operation of the biochar boiler and the biorefinery, as well as work in several ongoing feeding trials.

Your tasks

As an operations technician in Green Valleys, you will:

• Work with the operation and development of the biorefinery and biochar facility.
• Work with processes such as drying, pelleting, and biochar production.
• Participate in research trials in collaboration with project leaders and partners from academia and industry.
• Work in a team with operations technicians and other staff within the project.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good knowledge of machinery and technology development, as well as relevant professional experience from the industry.
• Has a genuine interest in agriculture, crop production, energy, and IT (meritorious).
• Is solution-oriented, proactive, and good at meeting deadlines.
• Is a team player with a strong desire for development and collaboration.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Has a B driver's license (requirement).

Employment conditions

Employment type: Project employment, 100%.
Period: Until January 2026.
Workplace: Nature School Sötåsen, Töreboda.
Start date: As soon as possible, by agreement.
