Västertorpsskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 430 students.

These values permeate our daily operations in various ways, including scheduling, break activities, and our systematic quality work where we focus on promoting and preventing the development of our students both socially and academically.

In our operations, we have preschool class through grade 6. We have a special education group (SU) and a central special education group (CSU), and from the autumn term of 2026, we will also have an adapted primary school (AGR).

As a principal, I am looking for a school nurse

Who is clear, relationship-building, and who, in addition to the usual tasks of a school nurse, participates in our promotional work by conducting lessons on various aspects of health in the classrooms together with the school counselor.

Your role

In your role, you will perform the tasks that are normally included in the assignment. For example, you will have consultations together with the school doctor at regular intervals. You will have general consultations and follow the City of Stockholm's annual schedule regarding vaccinations, follow-ups, and more.

You will prepare for the medical consultations and gather documentation that the school doctor needs. You will have contact with guardians, students, and teachers, collaborating on the well-being of the students. You will participate in the school's student health theme, EHT, and contribute your expertise and competence to the discussions. You will support the educators at the school in working on self-care plans, etc.

Your competence and experience

You should be a nurse with a specialization in children's health or a district nurse. You may also have completed the school nurse program.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with Prorenata, as this is the system used by the City of Stockholm.

It is also advantageous if you have documented experience working with health in various ways within healthcare, as our concept of health encompasses both physical and mental health.

We are looking for you, a professional nurse, who wants to contribute to students' well-being and development. We are looking for someone who wants to find solutions outside the box and who is eager to help come up with solutions for this. You should be structured, as it requires a great sense of order with all the documents that go through the school nurse's office. Together with the school counselor, you will have an annual schedule for outreach activities in the classes to work on health in various ways.

You should be engaged and see the student as a whole while contributing to the long-term development of the school's work with student health. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
