Welcome to the municipality that is far from average!

The Department of Health and Care is responsible for providing care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as offering support to their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation, focusing on the citizen - around the clock. We are 2,500 employees who provide support and care to citizens in need.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to make a difference! As summer approaches, we are seeking individuals who want to contribute to a good everyday life for citizens in need of home care, living in nursing homes, or residing in our LSS operations to varying degrees.

  • Home Care - work within home care is performed in the client's own home. This can include both care and service tasks such as shopping and cleaning.
  • Nursing Home - the client lives in one of the municipality's care facilities where you perform daily tasks such as care, cleaning, and activity stimulation.
  • Group Housing - provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation for clients with disabilities in one of the municipality's homes.
  • Group Housing, Deaf Unit - provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation for clients with disabilities in our deaf unit where knowledge of sign language is required.
  • Service Housing and Housing Support - clients in their own homes or in service housing who need some type of support in daily life. A service housing consists of several apartments with access to shared services and a dedicated staff group.
  • Short-term Care for Children - ensure a good quality of life with care, play, and stimulation for children and youth during their short-term stay in the municipality's operations.
  • Personal Assistance - as a personal assistant, you help a client in their home environment with everything they need support with, such as care, activity stimulation, and other daily needs.

We are currently seeking hourly substitutes and summer positions for these operations throughout Botkyrka. Working hours vary greatly - including day, evening, weekend, and night shifts.

We Offer You

As a substitute, you will receive an introductory program where you will follow another employee for the first few days and learn all the tasks. Once you feel secure, you will work independently - but always in close dialogue with your manager, coordinator/administrator, and colleagues. Implementation plans and routines are part of our daily work and guide your tasks.

An employment with the Staffing Unit gives you a chance to try working in various operations such as nursing homes, home care, and various LSS operations to see where you feel most comfortable. As an employee in Botkyrka Municipality, you will have meaningful tasks and wonderful, friendly colleagues in a municipality that is far from average. Welcome to be part of an engaged team that supports each other.

Open House

We will hold open house events on two occasions at Branta Backen 8 in Tumba. Here you will have the opportunity to try out some work tasks and gain insight into what a day in health and care might look like. You will also have the chance to meet some of us who work in the Staffing Unit, who can answer questions about what it means to work as a substitute, and anything else you may wonder about regarding the position.

Warmly welcome on Tuesday, February 10, between 14:00-19:00 or Friday, March 10, between 14:00-19:00.
