Here you get the chance to work in a dynamic environment where competence and responsibility are highly valued, and where every day presents new, meaningful challenges.
Ludvika Municipality's Food Unit
The Food Unit has ambitious goals where cooking from scratch is a top priority. The possibilities are endless, from the schools' work with large kitchen operations, nutrition, and special diets in focus to the more restaurant-like kitchens within elderly care, where the fine balance of nutrition and restaurant-like quality of the dishes must meet.
Do you want to spice up life for others - apply as a chef with us!
Are you a chef who is passionate about cooking and service? We are looking for substitute chefs who want to promote a healthy lifestyle with good eating habits for the municipality's primary school students, children, and the elderly. Welcome to us!
In the food unit, about 90 chefs work in our 34 kitchens within primary schools, preschools, and elderly care. Every day we prepare approximately 4,400 servings for our diners. All kitchens are production kitchens, and we constantly strive for development and to increase the proportion of dishes made from scratch. We have the opportunity to purchase a certain amount of locally produced meat. We work with seasonal adjustments and take into account the environment and climate. This requires that you have the knowledge, willingness, education, and commitment needed. We are now looking for substitute chefs who have the desire to be part of the team that continues to develop the meal into one of the highlights of the day for our guests.
The food unit has three unit managers with a geographically divided food area each. All three areas have kitchens for primary schools, preschools, and elderly care. One food developer and one operations manager.
