Frontend-Focused Software Developer

Do you want to contribute to everyone’s right to read on their own terms? The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media (MTM) is now looking for a frontend-focused software developer who wants to contribute to the agency's democratic mission.

About the Job

As a software developer with us, you will be part of our development team and work on further developing MTM's media platform for adapting and providing accessible reading, for example through our digital library Legimus.

We work in small teams where agile methods, DevOps, and innovation are a natural part of everyday life. As a frontend developer, you will collaborate closely with our UX designer and accessibility expert to create user-friendly and accessible interfaces. We actively use AI tools in our work, for example for development, testing, and analysis, and we welcome your interest in exploring and using such tools in your work.

The work includes both new development and management of MTM's digital solutions, with a focus on frontend for web and mobile apps, user interfaces, and user experience. If necessary, the work may also include other development.

We are looking for you who have

• a university or college education of at least 180 credits in computer science, software engineering, informatics, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, along with some years of relevant experience in software development,
• or post-secondary education, such as vocational training in software development or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, along with several years of relevant experience in software development.

In addition, the following is required:

• good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you have experience in:

• frontend development in Vue.js or similar frameworks
• accessible interfaces (WCAG)
• mobile app development, preferably in Flutter or equivalent frameworks
• UX design
• agile methods

To succeed in the role of software developer, you have good collaborative skills and contribute to a positive work environment. You enjoy working independently and take initiative. You organize and plan your work well towards common goals.

About the Employment

The employment is full-time and permanent. It begins with a 6-month probationary period. MTM applies individual salary setting. Start date as soon as possible by agreement. Our office is located in Malmö, and there is the possibility of some remote work.
