The Municipal Executive Administration is the administration of the municipal board. Here, about 100 employees work within Growth and Collaboration, Management and Support, Competence and Leadership, Finance and Security.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a web developer with a strong communication background who wants to help further develop our digital channels such as the web, intranet, and other communication platforms in a public organization.

You will be responsible for the development, management, and structure of the municipality's digital communication platforms, primarily the web and intranet in Sitevision.

You will work both operationally and strategically with content, permissions, metadata, accessibility, and usability. The role combines communication work with technical system responsibility, where you analyze needs, develop the web, and ensure that digital channels are effective, accessible, and suitable for the organization.

The position is located in the communication unit within the Municipal Executive Administration. Together with a dedicated team of communicators, you will work on developing, managing, and optimizing Ystad municipality's digital platforms and communication systems.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Further develop and manage the municipality's digital platforms, such as the web, intranet, social media, and other digital channels.
• Continuously work with communication: planning, publishing, and quality assurance of content.
• Be responsible for crisis communication systems and digital staff functions.
• Support the organization with technical advice, training, and support regarding digital tools and systems.
• Ensure that systems and digital channels meet accessibility requirements (WCAG, DOS law) and are inclusive for all users.
• Be responsible for system management where you own the entire development and management process, from requirements to implementation and support, e.g., our image database, our digital screens, invoicing and purchasing, as well as procurement.
• Analyze user behavior and system data to optimize functionality, web design, user experience (UX), and content structure.
• Lead and drive development projects within digital communication, e.g., migration of platforms, implementation of new modules, and automation of workflows.
• Develop and implement metadata structures and information architecture for better searchability and data quality.
• Monitor technical trends in digital communication, platforms, and system architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in web development, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Competence in communication is a requirement, for example through education or professional experience in digital communication. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in web and/or digital communication. Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Experience from public operations is an advantage.

As a person, you are driven and structured. You feel secure in your role, while being open to acquiring new knowledge and continuously developing. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team.

Technical Competence

• Experience working in Sitevision
• Experience in web and intranet management
• Knowledge of metadata, information structure, and permission administration
• Experience with social media
• Experience working in BackOffice environments
• Basic experience in procurement or working closely with purchasing processes

Meritorious:

• Experience in visual communication and graphic design
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience in crisis communication
• Pedagogical experience, such as conducting training or internal mentoring
