We are looking for a Construction Manager for the Subway project at Arenastaden for a government authority within traffic.

This is a multi-year consulting assignment. The stationing location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a construction manager, you are responsible for leading and monitoring the construction of a subway station with associated platform, service tunnel, entrances, ticket halls, and ventilation shafts. You ensure that contracts are executed according to contract documents and monitor progress, cost, time, quality, safety, work environment, environment, and social sustainability. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, design management, other construction management organizations, as well as contractors and side projects.

Responsibilities

Assist the project manager in daily project work

Review project documents

Ensure that contracts are executed according to contract documents

Handle notifications and alerts

Actively participate in safety and environmental rounds

Plan and ensure that work is performed in accordance with the project's quality plans

Follow up on the contractor's quality work, develop control plans, and ensure that controls are performed, followed up, and documented

Participate in coordination with adjacent contracts and construction work

Ensure that controls are performed randomly to ensure the contractor's self-control regarding work environment, safety, environment, social sustainability, and quality

Immediately point out and report errors and deficiencies and intervene and stop work that poses risks to life and health if necessary

Review the contractor's documentation for work preparations and ensure that they meet the required standards, designed solutions, and work environment considerations

Assist in monitoring the economy by documenting changes in scope, quantity deviations, checking and signing the contractor's diaries, reviewing financial documents, and other invoicing

Also assist with forecasts regarding economy and time

Coordinate work with adjacent activities and facility owners

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

At least 10 years of experience as a construction manager or equivalent role with a different title in construction and installation contracts.

At least 5 years of experience as a construction manager or production manager with financial responsibility in large (over 300 million) and complex projects.

Experience working on projects with model-based construction documents from at least one previous project.

Experience working as a client from at least one previous assignment.

At least a high school education such as a 4-year technical education or other construction and civil engineering education or several years of work experience deemed to provide equivalent competence.

Documented knowledge of industry-specific regulations including AB 04, ABT 06, ABK 09, AMA

Documented training and competence regarding Bas-U.

Meritorious

Experience in executing larger (over 300 million) projects in collaboration with ongoing billing.

Experience in construction management of steel structures and complex metalwork in construction and installation projects over 150 million SEK.

Longer/more experience than the stated requirements as a construction manager or as a client and/or contractor in construction and installation projects over 300 million SEK with high complexity and high demands on time and logistics coordination.
