We are looking for you who are a care assistant and have knowledge and interest in working with people who have memory diseases (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as we only have such clients in our home care services. You can work both in home care and as a support worker if you wish.

HOME CARE

Start date: Immediately

Working hours: 07:30-16:30

Schedule: four-week schedule (this means that you work on a schedule that is laid out over four weeks and runs where every other week includes weekend work). 100% - 37/37

Education requirement: qualified care assistant with a passing Swedish diploma of 1500 points

Salary: according to the organization's collective agreement (Almega care companies)

Probationary employment applies for 6 months from the date of employment according to the collective agreement

To work in the organization, it is advantageous if you:

-have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various forms of dementia or mental health issues

-have worked for a longer period in home care or nursing homes

-speak and write very good Swedish as you will visit clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you should be able to document in journals and read instructions.

-are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your working methods

-manage stress and can plan and structure your work

-have good local knowledge in inner Stockholm as you will get around using public transport or walking

Job responsibilities

You will follow a service schedule and visit clients in their own homes, performing the services that clients have been granted according to the assistance decision. The decision includes, among other things, taking care of general hygiene and personal hygiene, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, shopping, accompanying clients to various institutions, and walking. We work a lot with motivation to be able to perform the services and use various working methods as aids.

We have team leaders and administrators who staff the office during the day, where you can turn for assistance in your daily work.

Who are we

Stockholm's Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that provides services in the client's own home. The organization also provides escort services, respite services, and housing support.

The organization primarily targets clients who have varying degrees of dementia, mental health issues, disabilities, and substance abuse problems. Depending on your experience, competence, and interest, you can work more focused on one of these diseases and diagnoses or a mix.

We work with the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out of each client visit using mobile phones, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.

Where are we and how do you get around to the clients

We have clients in 8 different districts, and you will start and end each work shift from Södermalm, where we have our office, regardless of which district you are in during the day. You will get around to the clients using public transport or walking (the organization does not have cars). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
