Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a nurse with a special interest and expertise in dementia care who wants to be part of our dementia team! As a colleague with us, you will become a key person in the team and work closely with clients/patients and their relatives to create safety, quality of life, and dignity in everyday life.

The team consists of 2 nurses and one nursing assistant.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Support for clients/patients and relatives in everyday life
• Advice, information, and support conversations
• Leading discussion groups for individuals with cognitive impairment/dementia and their relatives
• Training and mentoring staff to strengthen competence in dementia care
• Collaboration with colleagues in the team and other care and support professionals, both internally and externally
• Participating in development work to improve the quality of care
• Conducting memory tests on referral
• Working according to national guidelines and regional guidelines (Anna's lead)

The position involves collaboration with several actors both within and outside the Home Care Administration. You need to be confident and independent in your professional role.

Your Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with at least a couple of years of professional experience
• Further education in dementia, geriatrics, or mental health in the elderly is an advantage
• Experience with the BPSD registry is a plus
• Driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement

As a nurse in the dementia team, you work both independently and together with the other team members. You meet daily individuals with cognitive impairment or dementia and their relatives, and you contribute your expertise to strengthen both the individual and the organization.
