Newly Graduated Nurse for the Emergency Department

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. We offer you

We know that starting as a newly graduated nurse can be intense, which is why we give you the opportunity to start your career as a nurse with us in the emergency department as a summer substitute, where you will work with another nurse who has the medical responsibility.

In our daily work, we work in teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists. We also have a "Pharmacist in Care" who helps and supports employees regarding medications, administrators who assist with patient admissions, and patient transporters who help with patient transport.

Once you have completed your 2-week shadowing with a nursing assistant and start working independently, you will begin with basic positions. After the summer, there is an opportunity for extension as a nurse, where we then offer 4 weeks of shadowing with a nurse.

In our emergency department, you will meet patients with various symptoms/diseases within medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. You will work in a large workgroup with many different professional categories who are open to answering your questions. The work environment is characterized by joy and a forward-looking attitude.
