Nephrology outpatient care includes investigation, care, and treatment of complicated cases of kidney disease. The unit consists of a hemodialysis clinic, self-dialysis clinic, PD clinic, and kidney clinic and has a close and well-functioning collaboration.

You will be part of our team at the hemodialysis clinic where kidney patients come for regular blood dialysis.

Here, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and kitchen staff work as a close-knit team. We also have close collaboration with dietitians, physiotherapists, and medical technicians.

We are a friendly group with varied and fun tasks, and you will become an important part of the operation. Some points that represent us are that:

• We always have the patients at the center and base our work on the individual’s self-care ability
• In dialysis, we often establish a long-term care relationship with the patients

We are now looking for nursing assistants/care assistants for temporary positions during the summer of 2026. The position is full-time for 10 weeks during June-August.

Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant Dialysis Clinic, Örnsköldsvik Summer 2026

• Prepare materials for dialysis treatments
• Assist the nurse during dialysis initiation and conclusion
• Help patients with standard care tasks
• Daily administrative tasks

The hemodialysis clinic is open during the day, but evening shifts may occur based on the needs of the operation.

Training will take place during the first two weeks and will follow a set training program.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a trained nursing assistant, or someone studying to become a doctor or nurse who has completed semester 4. For nursing students from Umeå University, semester 3 is sufficient for the position.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
