The recruitment is a collaboration with Jefferson Wells, but you will be directly employed by Alvenius.
Your mission
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be a key person in our growth journey. You will drive sales and project management within one or more of our exciting segments. The role is dynamic and encompasses the entire sales process - from building strong customer relationships and providing technical advice to developing competitive offers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring successful project execution.
The focus is on achieving set goals, building a strong pipeline, and closing deals. You will drive project sales with longer sales cycles - typically 2-3 years - which requires strategic work and perseverance. You will sell both standard products and customized solutions, collaborating closely with our internal R&D department to meet customers' specific needs.
You will work closely with end-users, technical consultants, contractors, and sometimes wholesalers - often in complex technical businesses with a long-term focus. The role entails significant personal responsibility and requires both technical competence and strong business acumen.
You will:
- Be responsible for sales and marketing activities in line with the business plan.
- Drive the entire sales process - from first contact to signed contract.
- Plan and execute activities to meet budget and KPIs.
- Identify new business opportunities and maximize the value in existing relationships.
- Prepare offers, negotiate, and sign contracts.
- Map customer needs and market trends to stay ahead.

We are looking for you
To succeed in this role and become a strong part of our sales team, you have at least 5-10 years of experience in complex industrial sales in the Swedish market and are accustomed to driving business with longer sales cycles. We are looking for a team player who not only creates business but also contributes to the development of Alvenius.
We seek someone who is passionate about creating business, has a keen eye for detail, and loves to see projects go from idea to reality. With us, you will have freedom with responsibility, great opportunities to influence, and a work environment where engagement and innovation are highly valued.
Industry experience in pressure and flow (valves, pumps & hydraulics) or the pipe industry is a plus, but not a requirement.
- You are goal-oriented and enjoy working towards clear KPIs. You have a strong personal drive and understand the entire business - from first contact to completed deal.
- You are stable and confident as a person, acting professionally in all internal and external contacts, both in Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
- You live in Mälardalen and are ready for about 75 travel days/year. The role entails significant personal responsibility and close collaboration with colleagues in sales, technology, production, purchasing, logistics, and finance - all based in Eskilstuna.

The company Alvenius was founded in Eskilstuna, Sweden in 1951. The company early on began delivering steel pipe systems to international mining companies and construction projects around the world. Today, we have about 60 employees in Eskilstuna.
Our success has been based on our spiral-welded, pressure vessel-classified Swedish steel pipes. The superior steel quality allows us to make the pipe walls thin yet robust. The spiral welding technique ensures that our pipes remain straight.
Today, we deliver piping solutions for large mining operations, complex tunnel systems, complicated professional fire-fighting systems, and water supply. Alvenius also provides solutions for industrial production and refineries. We also provide excellent efficiency for snow-making systems.
