The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Primary Care Hospital, Högsbo Primary Care Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. We are looking for nursing assistants for the summer of 2026 for our operations within medicine. We offer a fun, stimulating, responsible, and exciting job where you have the opportunity to develop your skills together with new colleagues.

About the Medical Department

The Medical Department at Kungälv Hospital consists of three care wards and an outpatient unit. The wards are located in the brand new healthcare building. Our specialties include a cardiology ward with some cardiac intensive care beds, an internal medicine ward focused on intermediate care, gastroenterology, hematology, and diabetes, as well as a general medicine ward. Thus, we have the capacity to accommodate a wide range of medical diagnoses.

Job Responsibilities and Work Methods

We offer you a temporary position in a medical care ward - a stimulating, responsible, fun, and exciting job where you have the opportunity to develop your skills together with new colleagues. We provide you with an individual introduction before you start working independently.

Qualifications

You are a trained nursing assistant, and experience in emergency care, hospital experience from previous employment or internships, and experience in venipuncture and nursing work are advantageous.

If you are a student in a nursing program, you need to have completed semester 3 or semester 4 depending on your educational program.

If you are a student in a medical program, you need to have completed semester 5 or semester 6 depending on your educational program.

Protected Job Title for Nursing Assistants

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and social services.
