The Role of Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant in the intensive care unit, you will be responsible, together with the rest of the team, for the care and monitoring of our patients. Your tasks include monitoring patients, documenting observations according to orders and routines, and reporting changes in the patient's condition. You will also assist doctors in various sterile procedures and support relatives by offering presence and empathy. You are responsible for keeping the care room organized and for preparing, performing functional checks, and cleaning medical technical equipment.

The position is a summer temporary job, and the intended period is from week 25 to week 34. We prefer that you can work the entire period, but if you have other preferences, we can discuss this during the interview.

Your Future Workplace

The Operations and Intensive Care Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital is one of the largest clinics in the hospital, with about 400 employees in intensive care, surgical care, day surgery, postoperative care, sterile technology, and care administration.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or studying to become a nurse or doctor. Experience in emergency care or intensive care is an advantage. Many of our patients are in a vulnerable position, which requires you to have understanding, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in pressured situations. You are stable, controlled, and can collaborate well with others. It is important to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues. Together, we create high patient safety and good accessibility, with the patient in focus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
