The Role of Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant with us, you will experience excitement and variety in your daily work, as the X-ray department is a high-tech area where you contribute to the important interaction with patients. Administrative tasks may also be included.

In the role of nursing assistant in the X-ray department, there are mixed tasks, including working in the X-ray lab with a radiographer, at the reception, or in our media unit that handles image processing. We have a great teamwork environment with all professions, and the more you learn, the more interesting and fun it becomes.

We need substitutes throughout the entire summer job period, which runs from June 8 to August 23.

The X-ray department is a regional clinic with over 380 employees. We conduct modern high-tech diagnostics and offer a wide and advanced range of examinations. All three hospitals have state-of-the-art departments and a wonderful community. We strive for transparency and job satisfaction. The X-ray department promotes research and innovation in radiology for all our professional categories.

All X-ray departments in the county perform examinations in conventional X-ray, computed tomography, fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound. What is special about our respective departments is that:

• Eksjö: X-ray is available at Höglandssjukhuset, and we also have X-ray operations in Nässjö, Tranås, and Vetlanda.
• Jönköping: Länssjukhuset Ryhov is our largest hospital, which also offers angiography/interventions and nuclear medicine.
• Värnamo: Värnamo Hospital is the smallest hospital in the county but has the same great commitment and state-of-the-art equipment.
• Mammography: A separate unit at Länssjukhuset Ryhov focusing on breast cancer diagnostics.

You are a trained nursing assistant or have completed at least two semesters of the radiography or medical program. Our Recruitment Process

Please be sure to include any internships and work experience in your application. It is also important that you attach your diploma. If you have not yet completed your studies, please attach a LADOK extract or other certificate showing completed courses. If you already have a verbal agreement for a summer substitute position with a manager in the X-ray department at Region Jönköping County, please indicate that person's name in your application.

Since the nursing assistant title has been protected since July 1, 2023, you will need to indicate in your application whether you have a certificate for the protected title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have a certificate for the protected title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent employment in your application to continue holding the title of nursing assistant.
