The Role of the Nurse

At the pediatric clinic, we care for children aged 0-18 years with all types of diagnoses. Your duties at the pediatric clinic include standard nursing tasks, seeing the child and the child's needs, and supporting parents in being part of the child's care. The work is varied and provides an opportunity for both breadth and depth in your professional development.

Your Future Workplace

The Pediatric Clinic has about 190 employees in the professional categories of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, and educators.

In the Neonatal Unit, premature and sick newborns from the entire region are cared for. Approximately 10% of all newborns are admitted to the neonatal unit, which corresponds to about 400 children per year for us. The neonatal unit is directly adjacent to the hospital's delivery department, with which we have a close collaboration. The neonatal unit conducts work both in intensive care and in our family unit.

In the children's ward, we work with integrated pediatric care, which means that all children aged 0-18 years receive their care here. Specialists in areas such as surgery, orthopedics, and ENT come to the ward to round on their patients, where we have an environment adapted for children.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or graduating by June 2026. You have a strong interest in the best interests of the child, with the needs of the child and family in focus. To ensure the best possible summer planning, we view positively if you can work weeks 25-33 during the summer. Introduction will take place before week 25.

To thrive at the pediatric clinic, you are a person who is secure and stable, takes initiative, and is responsible for your own tasks as well as for the unit's overall well-being.
