About the job

The Solution Architect is an important player in development initiatives and management, supporting the team with requirements management and solution proposals. As a solution architect, you will develop solutions that support established business goals, quality goals, strategies, and target architecture, documented in the simplest possible way in collaboration with the team. You will be part of the architecture governance where you participate in developing target images and drive the architecture towards these, ensuring a lifecycle perspective on the solution.

It is also important for us to build secure IT systems. It is great and fun if you share our interest in application security. Everyone working at Kronofogden contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes.

You are an experienced solution architect with experience helping developers and other architects with applications in the field. You have a good ability to identify and apply best practices, patterns, and solutions to a functioning and secure end product.

You are a person with strong analytical skills and good judgment. You take initiative, are engaged, and take responsibility for achieving goals. You always work to create the most value for the authority. Since we work cross-functionally, we see it as important that you easily create and maintain good contacts and networks. It is important that you are structured, can collaborate with others to achieve goals, but also work independently to drive development. You have very good communication skills and can clearly articulate issues within your expertise to the various roles you encounter within the authority.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• at least 3 years of current work experience in Java-related solution architecture
• at least 5 years of current work experience in Java-based backend development based on JavaEE
• at least 3 years of work experience in designing and implementing integration solutions based on Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM), such as JMS-based queues
• at least 3 years of work experience in containerization and management of OCI-compatible containers (e.g., Docker or Podman)
• at least 2 years of work experience in frontend development
• work experience in message handling with ActiveMQ Artemis or equivalent
• good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish and English
• education at least at the high school level

It is meritorious if you have:

• work experience in investigations/pre-studies
• at least 1 year of experience with Spring Boot v2 or v3
• work experience in CI/CD
• work experience in agile methods such as Scrum and SAFE
• work experience in development based on Openshift Container Platform or another Kubernetes-based platform
• experience working with Angular as a framework
• experience in agile requirements management

Good to know

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as an IT officer. Kronofogden offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer.

Working in the state means that you follow the state value base. There are also special requirements for judgment, security thinking, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to referees. We also obtain information about debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information obtained is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the current position.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
