Psychologist for Eating Disorder Clinic Högsbo

Together, we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe's leading university hospital by 2032. Together with patients, we work for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – in a cohesive healthcare system in the Västra Götaland region. Our vision and goals aim for care of the highest quality, where the patient is always in focus. We offer healthcare locally and regionally, but also highly specialized care to patients across the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength and they contribute to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify everyday life at the hospital and provide modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality.

About the Department

We are looking for a psychologist for the Eating Disorder Clinic Högsbo – a workplace for those who want to work within specialized eating disorder care while developing both their own competencies and future treatment models.

Sahlgrenska University Hospital's care chain for patients over 25 years offers outpatient care, day care, and full-day care. We also have a mission within National Highly Specialized Care (NHV), which means we meet patients with the most complex and difficult-to-treat eating disorders from all over Sweden.

Development and research are a natural part of our work – here you will have the opportunity to combine clinical treatment with contributing to new working methods and research projects. We are currently in an exciting development phase where we are establishing a day care according to the Dalle Grave model, with intensive outpatient treatment based on CBT-E.

We Offer

With us, you will be part of a knowledgeable and dedicated psychology team, where collegial exchange and treatment quality are at the center. You will work closely with specialists, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and dietitians – a multidisciplinary team with the ambition to provide patients with the best possible care.

Development Work: You will be involved in a project to establish intensive outpatient treatment (CBT-E) in a day care format.

Professional Development: Good opportunities for training and supervision.

Research Opportunities: We operate in a research-intensive area where you can participate in projects and contribute to the future of psychological treatments.

This is a workplace for those who want to grow – both professionally and together with the team.

Job Responsibilities

As a psychologist with us, you will work with assessment, investigation, and treatment of patients with a primary eating disorder diagnosis. The focus is on providing evidence-based psychological treatment, often according to Fairburn's CBT-E model, and adapting treatment to the patient's unique needs and any comorbidities.

About You

We are looking for a licensed psychologist who is driven to develop in your profession. You have a solid foundation in CBT and a particular interest in evidence-based treatment of eating disorders – preferably with experience in CBT-E.

We see that you enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. You are attracted to combining clinical work with development assignments, and you want to contribute to an environment with high ambitions for both patients and staff.

Welcome with your application!

Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously. A probationary period may apply.
