Your Responsibilities

Create and maintain a good structure for the agency's operational information. The position is located in the unit for information and case management. About 13 people work here in the areas of registration, archives, and system support. The operation is under development and has been strengthened with expertise in several areas.

In the role of archivist, you will help ensure that archiving issues are handled throughout the entire lifecycle. This includes, among other things:

  • Developing and maintaining the agency's archive documentation (archive description, classification structure, and archive inventory)
  • Contributing to the management of archive documentation systems
  • Participating in ordering and inventory work
  • Conducting preservation and disposal investigations and developing information management plans
  • Ensuring that approved disposals are carried out
  • Contributing strategic choices for the preservation of electronic documents
  • Being responsible for delivery planning and transfer of analog and electronic documents
  • Monitoring archive issues during procurements or changes in the agency's IT systems
  • Managing the agency's e-archive and keeping updated on regulations and standards affecting archive management
  • Collaborating with other authorities and external actors as needed

With us, you will have a varied job. You have the opportunity to take your own initiatives for development and take great responsibility for carrying out your tasks. You work in a team and collaborate with colleagues from other parts of the agency, and together you work to create and maintain a good structure for the agency's operational information. This can involve cases of both older and newer nature. As an archivist, you are responsible for the agency's classification structure and its implementation in the central case management system. You may also lead training in the area.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in archive or information science or another education that we consider equivalent. We see that you have current and relevant experience in archive and information management work, preferably in a role as an archivist in public operations. You have good knowledge of digital information management as well as archive and public access legislation.

You have good skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English, as well as good knowledge of IT systems and programs. You must have Swedish citizenship due to the position being classified as security-sensitive and a valid driver's license B.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with information management systems
  • Experience in specifying requirements for systems such as e-archives or document and case management systems
  • Experience in disposal investigations
  • Experience in developing preservation plans or equivalent analyses of information management
  • Knowledge of lifecycle management of information

Good to Know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. This position is classified as security-sensitive, which means security clearance and background checks according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Upon permanent employment, it may be relevant to be placed in a crisis situation at the agency.
