Experienced and Coordinating Construction Manager Wanted

We are now looking for an experienced and coordinating construction manager for a comprehensive and technically complex infrastructure project in the Stockholm area. The role is suitable for you who have strong leadership skills, good structure, and a clear ability to drive large projects forward together with both clients and contractors.

In this assignment, you will have a central role where you coordinate and lead the construction management function within the project, responsible for overall quality and progress. You thrive in a leadership role, are solution-oriented, and find it easy to create engagement and collaboration in project organizations.

About the Position

As a coordinating construction manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading and coordinating other construction managers within the project
Ensuring that the project is executed according to contract, schedule, budget, and quality
Driving the project forward in the implementation phase together with the contractor
Interpreting and applying contract documents, AMA codes, and regulations
Handling issues that fall outside the original scope of the contract
Working with documentation, scheduling, finance, and follow-up
Being a support to the client in technical, legal, and production-related matters

The role requires a good overall understanding of what is to be built, how it is to be built, and what technical and contractual conditions apply.

Client: Government Infrastructure Authority
Location: Huddinge
Project Scope: Approximately 1.3 billion SEK
Construction Time: Approximately 4 years
Project Start: About 6 months
Contract Form: Total Contract (with ongoing dialogue about execution contract with elements of total contract)

The project includes, among other things:

Two interchanges with bridges over existing railway
Ramps for access and exit
Complex rock excavation in close proximity to the railway
Approximately 200,000 m³ rock excavation
Bridge structures, sheet piling, and possible piling where the contractor is responsible for dimensioning

Who Are You?

Requirements Profile:

For the role of coordinating construction manager, we see that you meet the following:

At least 10 years of experience as site manager in construction projects over 100 million SEK
At least 5 years of experience as construction manager or project engineer in infrastructure
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction, or building
Concrete class 1
Documented BAS-P/U training
Good knowledge of contract law and regulations such as AMA Construction, AB04, and ABT06
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
