The Community Building Administration in Järfälla Municipality is an administration with a broad mission responsible for everything from early stages in the community building process to operation and management. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a senior development engineer and project manager, you will drive development projects through the entire community building process, from early ideas to implementation and completion. The work involves ensuring progress in projects, contract management, negotiations, financial follow-up, coordination, and continuous dialogue with internal and external stakeholders. You will play a central role in developing new and existing sustainable and attractive environments for the future Järfälla. You will primarily work within the large urban development area of Barkarbystaden.

The role of Senior Project Manager in Development Exploitation includes, among other things:

• Leading and driving development projects from early investigation to completion
• Being responsible for the projects' timelines, budgets, quality, and goal fulfillment
• Coordinating internal and external stakeholders, such as landowners, consultants, contractors, and authorities
• Preparing decision-making materials and negotiating and establishing agreements, such as land allocation agreements, development agreements, and implementation agreements
• Managing risk analyses, financial calculations, and project follow-up
• Ensuring that sustainability, environmental requirements, and social aspects are integrated into the projects
• Participating in the development of working methods, processes, and routines within the development operations
• Preparing and presenting project information for politicians, steering groups, and other decision-makers

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in, for example, surveying or community building. You have at least 5 years of experience in development issues and project management, and you are comfortable working with contracts, legal matters, negotiations, and collaboration with many parties.

Experience from municipal operations and large urban development projects is a requirement.

The role requires a clear ability to take responsibility for processes and results. You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, plan your work with good foresight, and ensure that projects move forward according to agreed timelines. You enjoy delivering what you have committed to and following up on the more detailed parts of the project while also being able to see the bigger picture and think strategically.

Collaboration with colleagues, politicians, developers, and residents makes it important that you have an unpretentious and responsive attitude. You are keen on creating common solutions and easily find paths forward that all parties can support.

In an operation where conditions can change rapidly, you also need to be comfortable thinking on your feet and acting quickly when new situations arise. You find it easy to analyze problems and come up with practical, sustainable solutions, often at short notice.

Since the role involves a lot of dialogue and negotiation, it is an advantage if you express yourself clearly and confidently. You present your arguments in a way that engages, creates respect, and ensures that important issues gain traction.
