This position is a direct recruitment, which means that Maxkompetens handles the recruitment process and you will be employed by Verktygsteknik Småland AB.

Your Responsibilities

As a CNC operator at Verktygsteknik Småland, you will contribute to the manufacturing of precision parts; individually and in shorter series.

Your main tasks will include:

• Independently perform cutting machining on a multi-operation machine, which includes CNC preparation and setup.
• Read and interpret drawings
• Manual programming: Edit and adjust CNC programs, as well as read and understand program codes.

Your Profile

As a CNC operator at Verktygsteknik Småland, you need to have a good technical understanding and experience in CNC operator work. You should be able to work independently, take initiative, and be flexible to handle different tasks. You are practical, meticulous, and structured in your work, and have a humble attitude towards developing and learning more.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• At least 5 years of documented experience as a CNC operator/setup technician
• Good knowledge in CAM preparation
• Understanding of and experience in manual programming
• Good knowledge in reading drawings, including understanding of positional tolerances and fits
• Material knowledge in metal and aluminum
• Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Knowledge in Gibbs/Mastercam
• Experience in wire EDM
• Material knowledge in Uddeholm's range of tool steel and special steel for various applications.
