Information about the assignment

engcon is a market leader in the development, production, and sales of excavator attachments. As a software developer at engcon Control Systems, you will play a central role in bridging engcon, global partners, and the existing implementation team. You will be part of a team with several software developers, application engineers, product owners, and solution architects. Work to quickly develop solutions and “proof of concepts” that are taken further to a finished product together with some of the world's largest excavator manufacturers. You will also work on maintenance and support of engcon's existing products.

Job responsibilities

As a software developer, you will be a key person for engcon's software development regarding both new products/features and updates of existing ones. The working method is primarily test-driven and agile. You will work with, among other things:

  • Control and communication buses
  • User interface and mobile app
  • Functional safety
  • Data security
  • Developing test frameworks

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a college/university degree in computer science, mechatronics, engineering physics, or similar
  • Has experience as a system or software developer
  • Has good knowledge of C/C++
  • Has a strong technical interest and enjoys learning new things
  • Communicates fluently in English, both spoken and written

We consider it an advantage if you have experience with C#, Java, Python, secure control systems, hydraulic control systems, or CANbus. It is also a plus if you have knowledge of Embedded Linux/FreeRTOS or work experience as a software developer in the automotive industry or machinery manufacturing.
