Team Leader at Bergviken VOB

Bergviken VOB is one of Luleå's largest care and nursing homes, beautifully located by Skogsvallen. It has 144 apartments distributed across 16 departments. Currently, four of them are used as short-term departments, but they will soon move to new premises. Once completed, the entire operation will consist of care and nursing departments.

We are now looking for a team leader who wants to strengthen the team and contribute to a safe, quality-assured, and well-functioning work environment. You will have primary responsibility for two departments and work on behalf of the unit manager. Your role includes ensuring that our users receive high-quality care and that your colleagues receive the support they need in their daily work.

The position is partly administrative and will be scheduled on weekdays during the day. Weekend work occurs every third weekend. The team leader assignment is time-limited and is expected to last until May/June 2027. After that, an evaluation will be conducted, with the possibility of extension. You will have a permanent position as a nursing assistant. Start date is according to agreement.

Are you moving from another location? Relocation assistance is available.

Job Responsibilities

As a team leader at Bergviken, you will be a present and reliable resource for your colleagues. An important part of your assignment is to guide and support employees, both in their daily work and when specific challenges arise.

You will play a central role in the development of the operation by:

  • Identifying training needs and, together with the teams and unit manager, proposing and implementing improvements.
  • Gathering needs and wishes from users and relatives and conveying them in a professional manner.
  • Updating and ensuring that the Practical Professional Planning (PPP) remains current and functional in the department.

Another important part of the assignment is to support employees in administrative tasks. You will provide support in documentation and system use in Combine and DF-respons.

As a team leader, you are a key person – for colleagues, users, and relatives. Your work directly contributes to safety, quality, and a well-functioning everyday life in the department. Every day you make a concrete difference.

Qualifications

To succeed as a team leader, you need a combination of leadership, structure, and a strong ability to collaborate with others.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a trained nursing assistant.
  • Has experience and solid knowledge in care and nursing.
  • Has good digital competence and feels comfortable working with various computer programs, apps, and systems. You learn new digital tools easily and quickly adapt to new working methods.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with improvement work or quality development.

As a person, you are confident in your role and comfortable handling both independent work and difficult situations. You dare to make decisions and have the courage to have tough conversations when required. Additionally, you are pedagogical and have the ability to teach and guide your colleagues. You are structured and have a good sense of planning and goal-oriented work. Analyzing and following up on deviations is a natural part of your working method. You also work person-centered to ensure that each individual receives the care and support they need. Collaboration is one of your strengths. You see solutions where others see obstacles and have a flexible attitude that allows you to adapt to changing situations. When needed, you are not afraid to step in and contribute practically to daily work.

Do you think this sounds like an exciting opportunity? Please submit your application now – we look forward to reading it when we return after the Christmas and New Year holidays.
