Job Responsibilities

You will work in a team where the elderly are the focus and be a central part of the care and support provided to our care recipients. Together, you will provide a good quality of life with joy and gentle hands while strengthening the elderly's abilities.

The work is based on individual needs/implementation plans and the organization's guidelines and goals. We work with a common value base and increased participation and collaboration as a starting point.

Your tasks include helping residents with what they cannot manage on their own, such as hygiene, social interaction, meals, and delegated health and medical care tasks from a nurse.

You will participate in workplace meetings and representative meetings. The work also involves contact with relatives, unit managers, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for a trained nursing assistant or equivalent experience. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can both understand and convey written and oral information clearly. You are comfortable with documentation in journal systems and have good computer skills. You also need to handle phone contact professionally – both with relatives, nurses, and other stakeholders.

You should be motivated and passionate about helping others, and you find it easy to empathize with others' situations. Showing respect for others' wishes and needs is important to you, and you enjoy collaborating to find solutions to achieve our common goals. In our work, we face constant changes, so it is important that you are flexible, can remain calm, and maintain a good mood even in stressful situations.

Previous work experience in care and support, as well as working with individuals with cognitive impairments and low-arousal responses, is advantageous.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with day, evening, and weekend shifts.

We plan together throughout the facility.

Start date by agreement.

Hortlaxgården is located about 10 km south of the city in a rural idyll, with a beautiful view of Hortlax Church. Hortlaxgården is a special accommodation for the elderly with 60 places divided into four units, of which two units are dementia care and two units are care and support accommodation.
