Introduction

We are looking for a Construction Manager, Manager Customer Order Engineering, for our team within Sala Pump Operations. You will lead our COE team for customized construction, item registration, and manual management. The role combines strategic thinking with operational leadership and gives you the opportunity to influence both people and working methods in a business that stands for innovation and sustainability.

As a Construction Manager, you are a bridge builder between technology, business, and organization. You work closely with sales, order management, planning, quality, purchasing, assembly, and product development to ensure that our customized solutions are delivered with high quality and on time.

You will be part of the Pump Operations Management team in Sala and play an important role in developing our business for the future. As Manager COE, you collaborate with the global COE function. Your strong leadership and understanding of flows and methods within the manufacturing industry will be key to our continued competitiveness.

Location: Sala, Sweden. We offer a hybrid office, but see physical presence as a success factor. Travel, both within and outside Sweden, is included in the position.

Your Team

Your team in Sala consists of 12 people with expertise in construction, material data, and IOMS documentation. You are part of a global COE organization with colleagues in the USA, India, Brazil, and Peru. This gives you the opportunity to work in an international environment, build strong networks, and contribute to Metso's global competitiveness. You lead a close-knit team that supports each other in daily work and collaborates closely with other functions.

The operations in Sala are an important part of Metso's global strategy. We deliver high-quality products and services that meet the industry's strictest requirements. As early as the late 1800s, Sala Maskinfabrik delivered its first electromagnetic separator. Since then, Metso in Sala has built a strong global reputation, especially within the mining industry and other heavy industries.

Your Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include:

Leading and developing your team, ensuring a safe working environment, setting strategies and operational goals, coaching employees, and promoting engagement.
Creating structure and clarity, establishing processes, following up with KPIs, and managing priorities.
Driving improvement work, initiating and implementing development projects for increased efficiency and quality.
Planning, following up, and managing finances.
Being part of the management team for Sala Pump Operations, being an active member there and actively contributing to Pump Sala's continuous improvement program, responsible for your team's programs and activities.
Collaborating broadly, communicating with internal and global stakeholders, and contributing to a positive and professional work environment.

Who You Are

You lead and coach with clarity, creating engagement and developing your team.
You have technical understanding and insight into working methods within the manufacturing industry. Experience with construction processes and associated methods is a plus.
You preferably have experience with construction processes, CAD tools, and working methods in construction.
You think strategically and act operationally, switching between details and the big picture.
You work in a structured manner and drive improvements, establishing effective routines and achieving results.
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English and build strong relationships both locally and globally.
