Assistant Nurse to Our Intensive Care Unit

We are a general intensive care unit with six intensive care beds and six postoperative beds that we staff around the clock. Here, we care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. We have a work environment where teamwork, safety, and development are fundamental pillars. Since we provide emergency care and care for patients at all hours of the day, you will work on a rotating schedule, which means day, evening, night, and 2 out of 5 weekends, with the opportunity to influence your schedule.

We actively work with professional development by both scheduling training time and through our interdisciplinary working groups. In these groups, assistant nurses and nurses work together with doctors to develop and spread knowledge within their respective specialties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistant nurse in our intensive care unit, you will be an important part of an engaged team where advanced care and close collaboration are in focus. Here you will work side by side with nurses and doctors in the care of critically ill patients, a job that requires precision, safety, and a desire to make a difference.

With us, you will have a varied and developing job where you will be responsible for:

  • Basic nursing - You support the patient in personal hygiene, oral care, position changes, and pressure sore prevention, always focusing on safety and dignity.
  • Medical technical assistance - handling and cleaning advanced equipment such as infusion pumps and ventilators, as well as assisting in various medical procedures.
  • Observation and documentation - monitoring the patient's vital parameters, documenting in the journal system, and reporting changes to the responsible nurse and doctor.
  • Nutrition and fluid balance - administering tube feeding, following up on fluid and urine measurements, and ensuring balance according to the patient's needs.
  • Hygiene and sterility - actively working according to our strict hygiene routines, preparing care places, and contributing to a safe care environment.

In addition, you will meet relatives with safety, care, and professionalism in situations that are often emotionally heavy and particularly challenging.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a trained assistant nurse with experience in inpatient care who wants to take the next step in their career and work in an environment where the pace of work varies and the care is advanced. If you have previously worked in intensive care, we see it as a valuable merit.
