Operations Technician at Fortifikationsverket

Fortifikationsverket is seeking an operations technician for the Vårsta operations district where we work with supervision and maintenance of our properties in southern Stockholm. If you want to be part of our growth, we welcome your application!

Fortifikationsverket owns, develops, and manages robust defense properties for peace, crisis, and war. With our unique expertise in defense properties, we create secure environments for a robust total defense.

Your Day – Contribute to Sweden's Defense Capability

The operations of Region East are carried out in Stockholm and Gotland County, and this position is located in the Vårsta operations district covering southern Stockholm. Currently, there are six operations technicians working in the district.

You will independently work with the operation and maintenance of our property portfolio. This includes supervision and maintenance, self-checks in facilities, SBA work, as well as corrective and planned maintenance of buildings and technical installations and associated infrastructure such as heating, electrical, plumbing, and air treatment systems, as well as control, regulation, and monitoring systems. The job involves frequent contact with customers and suppliers and requires both independent and team work. On-call duty may be included in the position. Travel within the district is part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with at least a high school level technical education or equivalent training. You should have work experience in one of the following areas: electrical, control, piping, property operation, ventilation, or refrigeration systems. You have a good ability to troubleshoot property technical installations and carry out repairs. You have good knowledge of administrative IT support systems and can communicate effectively in both spoken and written Swedish. A valid driver's license (minimum class B) is required.

Experience managing service orders, fault reports, or operational optimization independently, as well as troubleshooting alone or in a group, is an advantage. Experience or competence in electrical work, such as boiler operation or project work, is beneficial. General electrical authorization AB or BB1, knowledge of water treatment, HVAC, SBA, handling of flammable materials, or experience in the defense sector is also advantageous.

About the Employment

This position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. The work location is Vårsta. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security classification. A security screening with background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
