Your everyday life with us

As a quality specialist, you are a key person in our quality assurance work. You will be part of the food safety group that plans, follows up, and develops Norrmejerier's preventive quality work. The role also involves driving continuous improvements in deviation and investigation work to ensure that our products maintain high quality and meet our customers' and consumers' expectations.

The role will be adapted to your experience and competence in consultation with your colleagues and may include work with customer and supplier contacts, participation in projects and process development, as well as responsibility for training in quality and food safety.

You will be part of the team that supports the organization in matters related to food legislation and acts as an expert and advisor in quality and food safety. Together with the team, you will coordinate the work with quality certifications and contribute to following up and further developing our management system for food safety and product quality – always in line with Norrmejerier's goals.

You will be part of the Quality department, report directly to the Quality Manager, and be part of a team with strong collaboration and great commitment.

Who are you?

We want you to have a university degree in natural sciences or food. You have several years of experience in quality work from the food industry or the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of food legislation and food safety is considered a strong merit.

To succeed in the role, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You enjoy driving investigations, identifying root causes, and ensuring that improvements are implemented. As a person, you can quickly understand different situations, prioritize tasks, and create engagement in others through your pedagogical ability.

In the role, you will have many points of contact, making your social skills important. You are attentive, collaborate well with others, and can convey information clearly and understandably, both verbally and in writing, internally and externally.

The position is a permanent employment located at the Umeå dairy. A B driver's license is required as travel between our facilities is a natural part of the job.

About the employer - Norrmejerier

Norrmejerier Ek. Förening is the dairy of the northern Swedes and is owned by 329 local farmers, of which 259 are active milk suppliers in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and parts of Västernorrland and Jämtland counties. We process over 200 million kg of milk annually at our dairies in Umeå and Burträsk into various dairy products such as milk, filmjölk, cream, and cheese.
