RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Traffic Planner, you are a key person in our operations, and in this role, you also have a coaching assignment. You work in a structured and proactive manner to develop and streamline traffic within our line traffic areas, while also supporting and inspiring colleagues. Your mission is to contribute to more and happier customers by optimizing resources, minimizing disruptions, and improving delivery precision, all in accordance with traffic agreements, laws, and internal guidelines. At the same time, you will be a catalyst for improvement and learning, responsible for driving method development and creating a culture where knowledge is shared and grows.

You will:

  • Analyze traffic areas and propose improvements
  • Design traffic plans, service schedules, and optimize resources in accordance with agreements and laws.
  • Support colleagues in complex matters, provide feedback, and contribute to skills development.
  • Initiate and lead workshops, development projects, and skills-enhancing efforts.
  • Organize forums for experience exchange and introduce new employees.
  • Contribute to the long-term development of the traffic planning area through analysis and improvement initiatives.
  • Document analyses and changes
  • Develop key performance indicators and planning parameters
  • Be the contact person for the principal in traffic matters
  • Participate in meetings, collaborate with trade unions, and contribute to process development
  • Work in planning tools and contribute to increased travel and sustainability

The role reports to the Traffic Planning Manager and is part of both the local management group and the traffic planning working group.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

  • A degree in logistics, planning, statistics, urban planning, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid experience in traffic planning within public transport is a requirement. Experience in project management is an advantage.
  • Experience working according to applicable regulations regarding working time legislation as well as relevant labor law and work environment.
  • Knowledge of sustainability goals and experience working in relevant planning tools.

You as a person combine analytical sharpness with the ability to see the big picture and translate insights into strategic solutions. You enjoy inspiring and engaging others, and your open and coaching style allows you to build strong relationships and create learning within the team. You are proactive and take initiative, skillfully navigating change and seeing opportunities to develop working methods that enhance efficiency and customer value as well as the drivers' work environment and well-being.
