Experienced Crane Operator and Heavy Goods Handler at ESS in Lund

ESS in Lund is looking for an experienced crane operator and heavy goods handler to join our 'Installation and Rigging' team. The group is responsible for guiding the rest of the organization and performing rigging activities such as heavy goods handling and crane operation.

About the Position

Your main tasks will include:

  • performing rigging work in the areas of lifting, assembly, and disassembly of equipment at ESS and nearby storage areas.
  • providing guidance to the entire organization in the area, such as lifting methods and installation procedures.
  • loading/unloading materials, maintaining and performing minor repairs on lifting equipment, and reporting any material faults. This also includes cleaning up and taking care of tools after work is completed.
  • supporting the team leader with the continued establishment of the rigging function within the organization.
  • assisting the team leader in managing the responsibility for rigging materials and cranes on site.

This role requires health and safety checks that will be performed on the final candidate during the recruitment process.

This is a permanent full-time position in Lund with a six-month probationary period. It is desirable but not essential if you can start as soon as possible.

About You

To thrive in this position, you need several years of experience with the tasks described above. You must have forklift training, crane operator certification for overhead cranes, and a driving license with at least a B category.

It is an advantage if you have experience with Swedish regulations and ordinances in the field.

You can communicate in English, which is the working language at ESS. Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage as your immediate work group speaks Swedish.
