Technical Manager at Mälarenergi
Do you want to help create safe, efficient, and sustainable office environments? Mälarenergi is now looking for a Technical Manager who combines technical expertise with project focus and digital innovation – and who wants to contribute to a more sustainable society.
We have made a decision! We at Mälarenergi aim to achieve net-zero emissions of fossil carbon dioxide in all aspects. To meet climate challenges, we need to find new solutions - new paths. That’s where you come in. We are now looking for a Technical Manager for our department.
Your Role
As a Technical Manager with us, you have a clear responsibility for the technical development and operation of our office properties – both owned and leased. You work closely with the business, our tenants, and our technicians to ensure that the premises function optimally every day and that change projects are carried out safely, cost-effectively, and with high quality.
You will, among other things:
- Be responsible for project management and project economy during renovations and expansions of office spaces.
- Drive customer contact throughout the renovation/expansion project and be a reliable partner for our internal operations.
- Be responsible for the operation, repairs, and maintenance of Mälarenergi's owned and leased office properties.
- Be responsible for developing and continuously updating maintenance plans.
- Prepare calculations and cost estimates for repairs, maintenance, and renovations/expansions.
- Be Bas-P and Bas-U (work environment coordinator) in the above projects and ensure that work environment requirements are met.
Focus on Digitalization
We are in the middle of an exciting journey where digitalization drives our development and is an important part of the future. In your role, you will:
- Contribute to the implementation and development of system support for operation and maintenance (issue and error management systems, energy monitoring, IoT sensors).
- Explore how automation and smart control can streamline technical operations and create better comfort and lower energy consumption.
- Identify and implement data and AI support for planning, troubleshooting, and predictive maintenance.
- Be a key player in creating a smarter, more sustainable, and data-driven technical management.
We are looking for you
We are looking for someone who is curious, solution-oriented, and enjoys translating technology and data into practical benefits. You have:
- Post-secondary education in construction, property technology, HVAC/Electricity, installation, or equivalent – or relevant work experience in the same field.
- Experience in project management within construction and technical management.
- Good understanding of work environment in construction projects; if you also have Bas-P and Bas-U competence/certification, it is an advantage.
- Experience with budgeting, calculations, and follow-up.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Driver's license (B).
- It is advantageous if you have experience with digital tools. However, we see that you have an interest in digital tools and are eager to learn more (e.g., issue management systems, drawing management/BIM, energy monitoring).
You are a central person in the group with a broad contact area and enjoy collaborating with many different parts of the organization. You are confident in expressing yourself, coordinating, and driving work from planning to implementation. You identify with our core values: Sustainability, Innovation, and Togetherness.
This is us, your colleagues
The Property Department consists of a total of 6 people who manage primarily the group's office properties, but also the shell of some of our production facilities. So even though we are only six people in the department, you will be in contact with most of our operations during a work week. We help each other with most things and have a wide variety of tasks. We have a lot of fun together and enjoy laughing. When possible, we challenge each other to a match in shuffleboard. Are you ready for a match? We are now looking for a Technical Manager who, with new energy, wants to create a world of opportunities.
We offer you
With us, you will receive a secure employment with good working conditions. We believe in a balance between work and leisure. You will always have the opportunity to develop and build a career within the company. Together with your colleagues, you will be part of our transformation journey to reduce fossil carbon dioxide emissions. We are making Mälardalen a region where people want to move, live, and work. Today and tomorrow.
