With the patient in focus, you will perform advanced nursing tasks. Your ability to make comprehensive assessments in patient care is an important part of your work. You will lead the nursing work and collaborate closely with other professional categories.

Our operations are conducted at Sahlgrenska Hospital, Östra Hospital, Mölndal Hospital, Högsbo Hospital, and Rågården (Gunnilse). We are a large organization with several different operations that you can work within.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or who will complete your education by June 2026 at the latest. You are structured and can take your own initiatives in nursing work. Furthermore, you have the ability to actively listen to meet the patient's needs and create opportunities for the patient to participate in their own care. You take a leading role when the situation requires it and are skilled at communicating in meetings with different professions, patients, and relatives.

We are looking for summer substitutes during the holiday period weeks 23–35 (June 1 - August 30). We prefer that you can work 8 consecutive weeks, of which 4 weeks in July.

To ensure that we can provide our patients with good and safe care, it is important that our employees have good language skills and the ability to communicate in Swedish.

Information for applicants

At Sahlgrenska University Hospital, care is provided around the clock, which means that you may work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Sahlgrenska University Hospital has a time allocation linked to night shifts, which reduces weekly working hours for each night worked.

Before employment in psychiatry or pediatric care, a check of the suspicion and criminal record register is conducted.

  • If you have completed your education: diploma.
  • If you have an ongoing education: results certificate and registration certificate indicating which semester you are in and how many credits you have so far.
  • If you have a foreign degree: an assessment from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
