Smålandshamnar operates port activities in Oskarshamn and Västervik, including loading and unloading of vessels, terminal operations, and other logistical solutions. The ports are geographically and strategically well-placed in the Baltic Sea region and have the capacity to accommodate and handle the largest vessels as ports on the Småland coast. Smålandshamnar AB has a turnover of 150 million and handles approximately 1.5 million tons of goods with 90 permanent employees.

We are now looking for a storekeeper for our workshop in Oskarshamn who will be responsible for the inventory and also work practically with the repair and maintenance of our machines.

About the role:

The role of the storekeeper involves overall responsibility for the workshop's inventory. The role ensures that our mechanics have access to the right spare parts and materials in their work to maintain and repair our machines.

The storekeeper ensures that the inventory is well-organized, replenished, and easily accessible, contributing to an efficient workflow in the workshop. The role involves both administrative and practical work where structure, foresight, and technical interest are important.

Your tasks:

The tasks are mainly administrative, with responsibility for the workshop's inventory. This means ensuring that the right spare parts are available for our machines and facilities. Keeping the inventory well-organized, replenished, and easily accessible is a significant part of your mission. You will also ensure that consumables are replenished as needed.

In this role, you will have ongoing contact with our suppliers via both email and phone.

In addition to the administrative work, you will also participate in the practical work in the workshop, where you, together with your colleagues, will repair and maintain our machines, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a technical interest, who works meticulously and has a positive attitude towards both colleagues and tasks. You are used to taking responsibility, enjoy working in a structured manner, and communicate clearly. Experience in similar tasks is an advantage.

Since the role also involves practical work with our machines, it is advantageous if you have previous experience in this area. You should also have a cost-conscious mindset and the ability to think long-term about materials and resources.

Requirements for the position:

· Driving license B

· Forklift license B1, C2

· High school diploma

· Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

· Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form

It is advantageous if you have:

· YKB

· ADR

· C, CE, D

· Forklift license C3a, C3b

Full-time, permanent position with a six-month probationary period
