Regionsjukhuset Karsudden in Katrineholm is a forensic psychiatric hospital with 155 beds, offering highly specialized national healthcare. Most patients are treated under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). The goal of forensic psychiatric care is to improve individual patients' mental health to enable them to live in society. Forensic psychiatric care must also consider public safety by working to prevent recidivism. At Regionsjukhuset Karsudden, care and treatment are characterized by a person-centered approach where each patient is included in the planning and execution of their care to achieve the goal. Now there is an opportunity to become part of our team at the Monitoring Center at Regionsjukhuset Karsudden, one of Sweden's largest forensic psychiatric hospitals. We are now looking for two new security operators who want to help provide the hospital with the conditions to conduct good and safe forensic psychiatric care. Your Responsibilities

As a security operator, you have overall responsibility for the hospital's general access control. When entering and exiting the hospital, you will meet our patients, employees, relatives, and visitors in a situationally adapted and trust-building manner. Access control is performed by you as a security operator using a metal detector, X-ray machine, and search. In your role, it is important to consider individuals' rights, privacy, and self-determination. In your daily work, the security operator collaborates with colleagues and other professionals to promote a good and safe security culture. The work has a strong focus on quality and delivery and is largely independent, which means you need to be able to prioritize between tasks.

Your tasks include:

• managing alarm and access systems, key management, and area surveillance through patrolling
• staffing access control
• working with surveillance via cameras monitoring the hospital area
• promoting good, continuous dialogue among employees
• communicating with patients, relatives, employees, and others in a respectful and attentive manner
• handling urgent tasks that arise

You will receive thorough training at the Monitoring Center as well as three full days of introduction with other new employees in our training facility on the hospital grounds. During these days, you will gain the fundamental knowledge you need from various professions to perform well in the role of security operator.

Your Qualifications

As a security operator with us, you need to be confident, stable, and self-aware. You have a good demeanor and a high degree of service orientation and good judgment. You are self-sufficient, proactive, and communicate clearly. Since the work largely involves communication, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is important that you can switch pace and prioritize between many different tasks and are comfortable making decisions under pressure. As a person, you also have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and situations based on a flexible security mindset. We also see that you are unpretentious and can distinguish between the personal and professional. With high integrity and a pronounced sense of responsibility, you further the hospital's security culture together with your colleagues.

You should have a high school diploma and/or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer that you have relevant education in the security field and a high technical maturity to handle digital security systems and communication equipment. It is desirable that you have professional experience in similar work within forensic psychiatry or other comparable fields.

Due to the nature of the work, the position requires normal color vision, which may be tested. Before a hiring decision is made, extracts from the suspicion and criminal records, alcohol and drug tests, and an extended suitability test will be conducted.
