The Forensic Psychiatry Regional Clinic is currently one of the largest clinics in the country for the care of patients under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). The clinic is also tasked with caring for particularly demanding patients under the Compulsory Psychiatric Care Act (LPT). The clinic currently has 115 care places distributed across 9 departments but is facing an expansion where the number of departments will increase to 10 and care places to 135.

We are now looking for nurses for temporary positions in the summer of 2026, based in Sundsvall. The position is full-time with a start date to be agreed upon for 2 months from June to August.

Nurse at the Forensic Psychiatry Regional Clinic, Sundsvall Summer 2026 Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at the Forensic Psychiatry Regional Clinic, you will play a leading role in a multidisciplinary team that takes care of the patient's daily needs for forensic psychiatric care.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate care and nursing interventions
• Medication administration
• Participate in, for example, rounds, risk assessments, care planning, and functional assessments

You will be introduced by experienced staff according to an onboarding model and training in the data environment. There, you will learn more about clinic and department routines, safety engagement, working methods, documentation, and interaction.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you

• Have further education in psychiatry
• Have previous work experience in psychiatric or forensic psychiatric care
• Have additional language skills
