About Us

The pediatric and youth clinic and day care here in Nyköping is a pediatric medical unit for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years. Pediatric care is an inspiring form of care that is constantly evolving. We work with the vision "Sörmland's children, safe in our hands" and strive to have high competence among staff and to always focus on the family's right to be involved in the care of their child.

Our unit consists of pediatric nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, play therapists, medical secretaries, and doctors. A dietitian, physiotherapist, and social worker are available at the clinic for certain hours.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will perform pediatric nursing work. You will work closely with your colleagues, and there is always someone to ask. Together, we support each other through close and interdisciplinary collaboration, while you also take on your own responsibilities. In your work, you will rotate between the clinic, emergency care, day care, and the inpatient department where night shifts may occur. Otherwise, the work involves day and evening shifts. This gives you the opportunity for both varied work and broad knowledge within pediatric care. Over time, you will also have the opportunity to specialize in one or more areas with your own specialist nurse clinics.

At the pediatric clinic, you will be involved in outpatient work, telephone advice via tele-Q, sample collection, and work in our emergency services. In day care, we work with our own clinic but also with the surgical, orthopedic, and ENT clinics. Children and adolescents come for various treatments, planned surgeries, as well as emergency surgeries. Nurses and nursing assistants, like doctors, have specialist areas such as diabetes, allergies, neurology, etc.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Specialist training in health and medical care for children and adolescents is an advantage.

As a person, you are stable and secure in your professional role. You are responsible and able to independently structure your work and take your own initiatives, while also enjoying teamwork. In patient contact, you maintain a professional and flexible approach based on what the situation requires and have a holistic view of the individual. Personal qualities are highly valued.
