The Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic Sörmland is a regional clinic operating at the three hospitals in the region. The pediatric clinic at Mälarsjukhuset consists of a neonatal department and a pediatric and adolescent department, outpatient clinic, and day care. The pediatric and adolescent department is the only inpatient department for children and adolescents aged 0–18 years in Sörmland.

We provide care for children and adolescents within the specialties of pediatrics, pediatric surgery, pediatric orthopedics, and ear, nose, and throat diseases. It is a very varied and enjoyable job where we care for children of all ages and many different diagnoses. We work with the vision “Sörmland's children, safe in our hands” and strive to maintain high competence among the staff while always focusing on the family's right to be involved in the care of their child. Our commitment to the whole family is strong, and we work according to NOBAB's standards and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Your Responsibilities

With us, you will have an interesting, varied, and independent job. You will assess and perform pediatric nursing care for children and adolescents of all ages. You will encounter a wide variety of different diagnoses and clinical pictures, which will provide you with broad knowledge in pediatric emergency care. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues in the unit, including nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors.

Your Qualifications

To work as a nurse with us, you need to be a licensed nurse, preferably with specialized training in health and medical care for children and adolescents. Experience in pediatric care is an advantage.

As a person, you are calm, secure, and responsible in your professional role. You have a professional approach when meeting patients and their relatives. You work child-friendly and consider the family's right to be involved in the care of their child. You enjoy working in a team, as well as being able to work independently and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work.
