Mullsjö Folk High School is located in Mullsjö in southeastern Västergötland, but in Jönköping County, just under 30 kilometers northwest of Jönköping. The school has approximately 200 participants in long courses and a comprehensive short course program. The main sponsors of the school are a trio consisting of the Swedish Alliance Mission, the Swedish Alliance Mission Youth, and the Mullsjö Folk High School's Alumni Association. Mullsjö Folk High School has been in existence since 1949 and has essentially had boarding accommodation throughout this period.

The operation is based on a Christian perspective and is conducted in a drug-free environment that we expect you to respect and preferably share.

The kitchen is responsible for serving the school's participants, staff, and our various course and conference guests. The school has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room that accommodates about 160 people. Currently, there are 3 permanent chefs working in the kitchen and dining room in addition to the head chef.

We are now looking for a substitute chef, with the possibility of extension, as the regular staff is on leave for studies.

Responsibilities

In consultation with the head chef and colleagues, be responsible for the school's cooking.

Examples of tasks:

• prepare and cook food according to the menu, vegetarian food, and special diets
• wash dishes and clean up after cooking
• prepare snacks for course and conference guests
• prepare and finalize food for deliveries
• bake as time allows
• handle incoming goods
• participate in daily self-control
• other tasks occurring in a large kitchen

The school has an extensive summer program and periodically a significant weekend program. This also means ongoing scheduled weekend and evening shifts.
