STC is one of Sweden's largest gym chains with over 260 locations and a wide range of training options (https://www.stc.se/utbud) in gym and group training. We offer a modern training environment, equipment from world-leading suppliers, and knowledgeable staff, all to create the ultimate meeting place for people of all ages. We agree with WHO, the Public Health Agency, and the government's investigators: we sit too much. Obesity is increasing, and mental health issues such as depression are becoming more common. But there is a simple solution that works wonders for both body, heart, and brain – movement! But we need your help!

We are now looking for a Gym Host who wants to work approximately 4-16 hours a week  at our three gyms in Tibro, Hjo, and Karlsborg and who wants to offer our customers the best service and provide them with the best training experience possible. 

Your mission 

In the role of Gym Host, you are our face to the public and work to provide each member with a first-class service experience. Your focus is on actively driving the sales of memberships and our other products, and you will be an important part of our team in creating value for both members and the business. Sales, customer service, and creating a welcoming environment are at the core of your work. You also ensure that our members follow our comfort rules to ensure a positive and safe gym environment for everyone. This means that you actively remind and inform members about the rules, manage disruptive behaviors, and possibly help create a safe atmosphere. By being present and accommodating, you contribute to ensuring that all members feel welcome and can train in a positive environment. 

Your tasks mainly include: 

• Sales of memberships and additional services such as personal training packages, products from our store assortment, and any campaigns. Also, follow-up via phone, where you call existing members to hear about their experience at the gym and to see if they want to extend their memberships. 

• High-level customer service, where you answer questions both by phone and directly at the gym, help members solve problems, and ensure they have the best experience. 

• Daily operations, which include keeping clean and welcoming premises, ensuring that the equipment is in good condition, and maintaining the gym's overall standard. 

The pace of work can vary and quickly change depending on the time of day and the number of members visiting our gym. Since our gyms have flexible staffing and varying working hours, you need to be flexible and able to work irregular hours, including weekends and afternoons/evenings. Our shifts are usually between 3.5-4.5 hours long.

Who are you? 

We are looking for someone who is positive, social, and has a natural ability to create a high level of service in all interactions with our members. You are passionate about creating a welcoming and inspiring environment where members feel seen, appreciated, and experience joy in training. To succeed in the role, we believe you have a positive attitude and a solution-oriented approach when it comes to meeting various situations and needs. You are someone who easily adapts to changing circumstances and has the ability to maintain a high pace without compromising the quality of the work you perform. Since you will be working at our three different gyms in Hjo, Tibro, and Karlsborg, it is essential that you have a driver's license and a car, or alternatively, that you can ensure your availability to work at all three locations based on the business's needs. 

Requirements: 

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must have a high level of service   

• Strong sense of sales and quality   

• Must be flexible and able to work days, evenings, and weekends  (evening shifts start at 15:45)

• Must have at least 1 scheduled shift each week (but preferably more)

• Must be willing to go the extra mile, both for customers and your colleagues   

• Must speak and write fluently in Swedish

• Must be able to work in Tibro, Hjo, and Karlsborg
