In the role of school counselor, you will primarily work to support students' psychosocial development through health-promoting and preventive measures. You will be part of the school's student health team and collaborate closely with others to promote a safe and developing school environment.

You will contribute to the development of the school's student health work by addressing issues related to students' well-being, mental health, and social situations. Proactive work with students and being visible in the operations is an important part of your job. Your relational skills and ability to coach students in the right direction are crucial for being able to support them in the best way.

The role includes responsibility for monitoring students with high absenteeism and investigating cases of harassment.

As a school counselor, the tasks may vary daily, and you therefore need to be able to quickly adapt to new needs. At the same time, it is important that you can offer a professional and empathetic response in all situations.

To apply, we ask that you 

have experience working as a counselor or similar psychosocial work, preferably in a school environment.

are a qualified social worker (or other relevant education).

speak fluent Swedish and English.

able to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and that you can communicate with these groups in an empathetic and secure manner.

share our educational vision and have a good ability to collaborate as part of a team.

If you have worked in an international school environment, we consider it an advantage!

Conditions

  • Employment type: Permanent, vacation service. A probationary period applies.

  • Working hours: 70%.

  • Start date: January 2025 or by agreement.
