Mullsjö Folk High School is located in Mullsjö in southeastern Västergötland, but in Jönköping County, just under 30 kilometers northwest of Jönköping. The school has about 200 participants in long courses and an extensive short course program. The main sponsors of the school are a trio consisting of the Swedish Alliance Mission, the Swedish Alliance Mission Youth, and the Mullsjö Folk High School's Fellowship Association. Mullsjö Folk High School has been in existence since 1949 and has essentially had boarding accommodation throughout this period.

The operations are based on a Christian worldview and are conducted in a drug-free environment that we expect you to respect and preferably share.

The kitchen is responsible for serving the school's participants, staff, and our various course and conference guests. The school has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining hall that accommodates about 160 people. Currently, there are 3 permanent chefs working in the kitchen and dining hall in addition to the head chef.

The main tasks of the kitchen assistant are:

Preparation of salads, sandwiches, and simpler dishes

Buffet service

Daily dishwashing and cleaning

Assist the chef with daily tasks

Other tasks in the large kitchen

We are looking for a reliable team member who can work independently and enthusiastically with these tasks, takes responsibility for what is produced, and takes pride in delivering good and appealing food on time.

The school has an extensive summer program and periodically a significant weekend program. This also means ongoing scheduled weekend and evening shifts.

The job requires that you can communicate in Swedish in both speech and writing without supervision.

You should have training in large kitchen/restaurant or experience deemed equivalent. We prefer that you have previously worked professionally with similar tasks.

Working in a large kitchen is teamwork, and we will therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Furthermore, you are used to and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you must quickly switch between different tasks, prioritize, and solve problems that arise.
