We are looking for a dedicated and curious occupational therapist for Samrehab in northern Kalmar County.

The work takes place both in inpatient and outpatient care. In the medical department, you will meet patients with heart and lung diseases as well as neurological conditions, many of whom are multimorbid. Rehabilitation in outpatient care has a strong focus on patients with neurological issues and is always conducted in teams and, when necessary, in collaboration with colleagues in primary care and the municipality.

There are good opportunities for you to grow into your role as you will have several experienced colleagues around you. You will also have the chance to collaborate with colleagues in rehabilitation throughout Region Kalmar County as well as with staff in municipal rehabilitation and health care. However, this is entirely based on your circumstances, and there are good opportunities to tailor solutions accordingly. Your working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

About you

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. You are driven, attentive, and have a strong commitment to rehabilitation. You are curious about developments in the rehabilitation field and preferably have experience and in-depth knowledge in neurology. It is important to us that you have an interest in team rehabilitation and that you recognize the importance of creating good conditions to support the patient in becoming as independent as possible and leading a rich and active life. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your future workplace

You will be part of a workgroup consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, nursing assistants, and dietitians, with close collaboration with other colleagues in various professions in the hospital's departments and units. The workplace is located at Oskarshamn Hospital, a local hospital with a strong focus on rehabilitation and with fast decision-making paths and close contacts between the units. Here you will find, among other things, emergency care, medical specialist care, radiology, planned surgery, and orthopedics. The hospital is located near Oskarshamn's center and close to the archipelago.

The health care system is facing significant challenges, and to meet these, we systematically work to develop close care, where rehabilitation is a central part of the patient's care and treatment. In the development work and transition to close care, you, together with your team, will be an important resource where good collaboration between the base unit's units plays a significant role, as well as collaboration with municipalities and primary care.
