Role Description

We are looking for an experienced and analytical Senior Tester who wants to work in a technically advanced and regulated environment within financial services. In this role, you will combine manual and automated testing and actively contribute throughout the quality chain – from requirement interpretation and test planning to execution, analysis, and improvement work. You will work closely with development teams, product owners, and business specialists to ensure robust, scalable, and business-critical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, test cases, and test data based on requirements and use flows.
• Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing.
• Develop and enhance automated test suites for API, UI, and regression testing.
• Contribute to the further development of testing methods, quality routines, and internal processes.
• Collaborate with the business to understand business logic, risks, and regulatory perspectives.
• Work with API testing and support the team's work within CI/CD environments.
• Perform database testing (SQL) and verify integrations between different systems.
• Document test results and deviations and clearly communicate insights to teams and stakeholders.
• Promote proactive quality work through “shift-left” principles and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in testing within system or software development.
• At least 2–3 years of practical experience in test automation.
• Background from the financial sector or another industry with clear regulatory requirements.
• Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or RestAssured.
• Basic knowledge of C#.
• Experience in API testing and working in CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Knowledge of Git or another version control system.
• Experience with agile working methods.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort in dialogue with both technical and non-technical roles.
• Structured, meticulous, and accustomed to working independently as well as in teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Several years of experience from banking, lending, or another financial domain.
• Familiarity with KYC, AML, PSD2, or related regulations.
• Experience in environments with high demands on data quality and traceability.
• Experience contributing to or designing test strategies.
