to apply for the job
Do you want to work for sustainable development and be at the center of events in Norrbotten?
Norrbotten is facing several interesting and complex challenges in the industrial transition where the County Administrative Board plays an important role.
We at the Environmental Protection Unit act as a party in the assessment process, conduct environmental code and Seveso supervision, and support operators and municipalities with advice in our area. In Norrbotten, we have an exciting mix of both older and new industries that we work with, and as they increase in number and complexity, we now need to expand our unit with additional staff.
About the job
We are now looking for a coordinator with a focus on assessment to join our team of 24 people. The unit has a broad competence base and different areas of work where you will primarily work on following up, structuring, and coordinating the unit's work within assessments. This includes calling meetings, developing the unit's planning regarding assessments, and leading case meetings regarding the environmental assessment delegation and A-assessments. This role also includes participating in developing the unit's budget and following up on operations.
The County Administrative Board is an important party in driving the government's environmental policy and supporting companies in doing the right thing. Responding to consultations, working within government assignments, and supporting the authority within your area of expertise are also parts that will be included in your role. Depending on your background and interests, other parts of the authority's work may also become relevant in your role with us. As our work is in constant development, the tasks may change over time, which also gives you opportunities to develop and broaden your competence with us.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- an academic education at the university/college level in either law, natural sciences, or another relevant education and/or experience that we assess as equivalent.
- experience working with financial follow-up
- experience working with project follow-up and/or organizational development.
We consider it an advantage if you have experience in:
- working with or otherwise gained knowledge about environmental issues related to industry and mining.
- project management and/or driving processes in a complex environment
- goal conflicts and complex environmental issues
We believe that you as a person have the ability to collaborate and build good relationships while having high integrity. You have a humble approach and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues, as well as a good analytical ability and a structured way of working where you can independently drive cases forward until they are completed.
For us, personal qualities are important, and we see it as a given that you contribute positively to our work environment and act according to the state value base.
Good to know
We use a six-month probationary employment.
If you are called for an interview, you may be required to complete a work sample.
Since some jobs with us require security clearance, you may need to undergo a security review before employment. This includes a security interview and background check. For some positions, Swedish citizenship is required.
