During the summer period, we need your help when our regular staff goes on vacation. Therefore, we are looking for several people who can support the operations during the summer.

The work involves being responsible for an area that is constantly changing and places high demands on safety awareness and security.

The Position
We are now looking for a driven and committed production geologist who wants to contribute to a sustainable mining operation in Pajala. As a production geologist, you will be part of the planning department at the mine, responsible for both short-term and long-term mining planning, measurement, geology, and grade control. The work involves operating in an area that is constantly changing and places high demands on safety awareness and security. Since our operations are conducted in the mining area of Kaunisvaara, we see that you will be stationed on-site there.

Responsibilities
As a production geologist, you will work in a team responsible for mining planning in the Kaunisvaara mining area, where you will develop documentation/recipes to match planned ore grades against outcomes. The production geologist also ensures that the right material mix and sufficient ore are available for the primary crusher. You will work closely with the mine's production staff, so an important part of the job is to convey updated information regarding the mine's geology, both verbally and in writing. The foundation of the work is diamond drilling and core sampling, where the results must be processed, interpreted, and result in grade control.

Education and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree in geology. Additional specialized training or experience in the specialized area of data quality control, structural geology, and/or block modeling is advantageous. The ability to handle Microsoft Office programs, mining planning software, and/or other CAD programs is also a plus. The job requires the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. A valid driver's license, class B for manual transmission, is required for employment.
