Kitchen Manager for the Food Unit in Mullsjö Municipality

Mullsjö Municipality is small in size but offers great quality of life. Here, you can enjoy an active outdoor life with fish-rich lakes, scenic views, and miles of hiking and cycling trails. Unique industrial environments, churches, art, and theater, combined with a vibrant business and community life, create a lively and growing municipality. In Mullsjö Municipality, we work closely together to succeed based on three focus areas: Safety, Togetherness, and Growth.

The Food Unit in Mullsjö Municipality offers a work environment with close contact with both colleagues and the residents we serve. Here, the good small-town life and proximity to nature combine with the ability to quickly reach larger cities.

We are responsible for the meal services within the municipality's preschools, schools, and elderly care. Every day, we prepare and serve nutritious and tasty meals to preschool children, school students, restaurant visitors, and the elderly in both home care and our special accommodations.

Our goal is to provide children, youth, and the elderly with a positive dining experience while actively working to improve quality and develop public meals. We aim to inspire joy in food, new flavors, and sustainable eating habits throughout life. Our restaurant is open to the public and has great potential to become a natural meeting place in the municipality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a kitchen manager who wants more than just to cook good food; you want to create joy in food, community, and a positive dining experience. With us, you will have overall responsibility for both the quality of the food and the continued development of the kitchen in an operation where elderly care meets a restaurant environment.

You will plan and prepare nutritious meals for both elderly care and the restaurant's guests, meeting all visitors with professionalism, joy, and care; you will simply be the restaurant's face to the public.

Together with the team, you will work on everything from menu planning, purchasing, and orders to cooking and development work. You will ensure that food hygiene, self-control, and current laws are followed, and you will be an important driving force in further developing the kitchen and restaurant into an even more welcoming and attractive place.
