Your tasks The department is part of the machine workshop that works with detailed manufacturing of various items for aircraft production. In the role of measurement machine operator, you will work with the inspection and measurement of various turned and milled components in the department. You will handle measurement machines and continuously evaluate and document. The measurement machine you will primarily work with is Hexagon or Zeiss, but other measurement machines and tools may also be used. Manual testing of components may also occur. 

You will work to develop and improve the inspection department together with colleagues within the group as well as with other departments within the organization. Each group works with daily management 5S and goal management. The working hours are 2-shift or permanent night in Saab's facilities in Tannefors, Linköping.

Your profile We are looking for someone with an education from a technical high school or university with a relevant focus, or equivalent experience.

Other requirements for the position include:

• Previous experience working in industry.

• Interest in quality and technology.

• Knowledge of reading technical drawings.

• Very good computer skills.

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

If you have experience working as a measurement technician/inspector previously, it is highly meritorious. Likewise, if you have experience with CNC, lathe, or milling and have worked with self-inspection within the manufacturing industry. You will be offered training during employment in measurement technology, so willingness and interest are of great importance in the role.

As a person, you should be quality-conscious and meticulous. We prefer that you are self-driven but enjoy working in a team and are responsive to others and can ask questions when needed.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
