JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a security coordinator, you will be responsible for the municipality's overall security work, including strategic crisis and preparedness issues, building the capacity for civil defense, systematic fire protection, and insurance. This function is part of the municipal executive board's management group and contributes to monitoring the external environment related to crisis preparedness and security, ensuring that these issues are handled with high quality.

A key part of the job is collaboration and coordination with internal and external functions as well as authorities such as SKR (Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions), the Rescue Service, MSB, the County Administrative Board, and the Police. Furthermore, you are expected to present cases independently to elected officials and the municipality's management group, as well as lead and conduct certain training sessions and exercises.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, we believe you have previous experience in a security-related role or similar industries and are accustomed to being self-sufficient in your position.

You have a relevant academic education for the position, or you have gained equivalent competence through work experience. A valid driver's license and a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, are required.

Desirable qualifications:

• Work experience in risk management/security work.
• Experience in public sector work.
• Experience in information security work.
• Education focused on risk and crisis management, political science, or social sciences, or other education that we consider equivalent. This could be, for example, an education in risk management or from work in the security industry.
